Theme, chart colors, and table density. Charts use a semantic palette by default (green for up · red for down · brass for your level · text-muted for reference) — tier hues never appear in chart fills.

Persists in localStorage. Relocated from the app header in 2026-05-15 per the LANE-2 chrome sweep (D-011) — the shell stays clean; mode lives with the other Appearance controls.

Table densitydefault

Explicit theme picks write to alan-theme; Match system stores a system sentinel under the same key so the OS-follow opt-in survives reload. Chart and density choices persist under alan:appearance:v1 and a follow-up PR routes them into the chart components and data tables.
